Air freight fills the gap between express courier and sea shipping. Faster than ocean freight, more cost-effective than courier for larger consignments. Transfer 2000 manages the entire process, from collection and airline booking through to customs clearance and final delivery.
Who is air freight for?
It suits manufacturers shipping bulk components, importers and exporters with regular international freight flows, retail and e-commerce businesses moving stock to global markets, and automotive or engineering sectors handling large, heavy consignments. If a shipment is too large for courier but needs to move faster than sea freight allows, air freight is typically the right solution.
How we approach it
Most freight providers simply book cargo space. We start with a risk assessment: How urgent is the delivery? What is the impact of a delay? This allows us to recommend the right service level, whether direct, consolidated, or deferred, rather than defaulting to whatever is convenient.
From there, we handle airline selection, route planning, documentation, customs at both origin and destination, and final-mile delivery where needed. You deal with one team throughout.
What we can ship
We regularly handle palletised freight, crated cargo, oversized and out-of-gauge loads, high-value goods, hazardous materials (DG cargo in compliance with IATA regulations), temperature-sensitive shipments, and exhibition and event materials. Every consignment is assessed individually to ensure the correct handling, packaging, and routing approach.
Communication when it matters
A common frustration with air freight is poor communication when delays occur. We monitor shipments throughout, communicate proactively, and explain issues clearly when they arise, with practical options rather than just status updates.
